New DOCTOR WHO Teaser Focuses on New Companion, Bill

“He says he’s a man of peace, but he walks in war. I’m having the time of my life.” That’s Pearl Mackie as the twelfth Doctor’s newest companion, Bill, walking side by side with not only our favorite Time Lord but also Nardole (Matt Lucas), who seems to be aboard full-time this upcoming season. Peter Capaldi‘s hair continues to grow out of control, possibly because he thinks we won’t notice what with Bill having bigger hair than he. But we do!

Speaking of noticing, you may want to pause that mysterious wall of foes they’re approaching. We did:

Looks like the Daleks and Cybermen will be making their obligatory appearances, though the face that dominates at the end is pretty clearly a malevolent Martian Ice Warrior, as has been previously confirmed. Also confirmed, but verified in the newest BBC America press release, are David Suchet as a new character named the Landlord, and Michelle Gomez as Missy who, if we were a betting Nerdist, we might expect to be ultimately responsible for Capaldi’s ultimate regeneration at the end of the season.

Doctor Who kicks off on BBC America on tax day, April 15th, so you’ll at least have something to look forward to. We wish it could last forever so Capaldi doesn’t have to go, but history has taught us there hasn’t been a bad Doctor yet in the modern era, so the faith here is strong that “who” ever is next will deserve a chance.
