New BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT RED HOOD DLC Story Trailer Dropkicks into Action

As we all know, the next installment of the Arkham series is dropping in a couple of weeks in the form of Batman: Arkham Knight. At this most opportune time, a new trailer for the Red Hood Story Pack has been unleashed out into the world. The trailer, which has an action-packed run time of 55 seconds, reveals the swan-like, in air action abilities of our sidearm-wielding, hooded friend.

Now, devour with your eyes, the trailer above. It will surely put a smile on your face. I would even go as far as saying that it’s not the trailer we deserve, but the trailer we needed. The video shows a lot of great parkour and even the combination of hand-to-hand combat with gunplay. From the looks of it, the brawling combat will still be emphasized, despite being able to dual wield pistols. Another positive to take away from the trailer is that the buttery smooth fighting seen in the full game seems to translate very well to this more ruthless vigilante.

A few iterations of the The Red Hood have appeared in Batman lore, but no matter who is donning the crescent red cover, he always seems to be a demented figure. It’s going to be loads of fun to run around as this Batman foil.

Getting your hands on this story pack for free will require you to pre-order Arkham Knight at Gamestop. No worries, if you aren’t about pre-paying for a game that isn’t even out yet, the story additions will be available for purchase some time in the future. As for when this bad boy will be hitting retailers, you can purchase the game the 23rd of this month on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. This comes at just the right time to avoid the E3 noise, and take advantage of the hype residue left over after the event.
