THE FLASH/SUPERGIRL Crossover Secrets Revealed (with Italia Ricci)!

A few weeks ago, we learned that two of our favorite small-screen heroes are finally gonna meet up despite living on different networks. That’s right — Barry Allen is coming to National City to pal around with Kara Zor-El in a Flash/Supergirl all-star team-up! And now that they’re shooting the big ep, details and set pics are drizzling in like hot fudge on a superhero sundae. Let’s have a spoonful as we bring future Supergirl villain Italia Ricci on to the show to grill her for some hot scoops on today’s Nerdist News!

We know that the episode, which airs March 28th, will live on CBS and won’t have a The Flash counterpart on the CW. But that’s pretty much all we know so far. And considering Flash’s universe doesn’t include space aliens…yet…we can assume that Barry crosses over to Kara’s universe, a la Earth 2. Which would make this, like, Earth-3. Or 4. Or something. But why does Barry feel the need to travel to Kara’s world? And which villain(s) will the pair do battle with?

Well we can make an educated guess! A new set photo of the The Flash/Supergirl crossover revealed that none other than Silver Banshee, played by Italia Ricci, was bumming around in costume, presumably ready to do battle with our heroes. But will she be working alone? What does she have up her sleeve? And what’s up with Grant Gustin’s super-dorky Flashspenders? Jessica Chobot interviewed Italia Ricci and got this tantalizing tease:

When she becomes a villain…she’s not the only villain.

Intriguing! But what do you guys think? Who would you like to see Silver Banshee team-up with? Are you hoping for an Arrow/Supergirl team-up too? Let us know in the comments below and be sure to check out our full interview with Italia below, where we covered everything from fan reactions to the Silver Banshee costume to what it was like to work with Lexi Alexander!
