The beginning of 2017 brought happy tidings. We learned in January that Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett‘s novel Good Omens would be turned into a six-episode miniseries, which by this point will begin shooting in less than a week. As BBC and Amazon Studios flip into hardcore production mode, Gaiman and others are sharing photos from the first script read-through and other tidbits from set on social media. We might be projecting our enthusiasm, but Gaiman seems excited.

For starters, the late, great Pratchett is being honored at the table read. You can see a photo of him in the corner of this picture beside a copy of the book:

And yes, that sure looks like David Tennant in the background. He’s playing Crowley in the miniseries, and he’s acting against Michael Sheen’s Aziraphale.
