Neil deGrasse Tyson Drops Science (and the Mic) on B.o.B

The rest of the world may have moved on to the Kanye/Wiz Khalifa/Amber Rose beef that took over the internet, but I’m not ready to let go of this Neil deGrasse Tyson/B.o.B/flat earth debate just yet. Fortunately, neither is Tyson, which is why he went on The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore to once again flatten B.o.B and his bizarre conspiracy.

If you somehow don’t know about this incredibly weird but equally hilarious rapper/astrophysicist, planet-shaped feud, we covered the full story here. The short version is that B.o.B sent out a series of tweets saying the earth is flat, which of course sent Tyson into full on science mode, like Batman seeing the bat signal. Tyson’s tweets then led to multiple songs going back and forth between the two.

What a time to be alive.

All of that led to Wilmore using his own “Science Panic Button” on his show, which brought out Tyson himself, who was ready to put B.o.B in his place.

I’ll let him take it from there.

Is that the first time in history a mic drop was used to both finish off a foe and prove a scientific theory?

And how the hell does Neil deGrasse Tyson have the time to be in such good shape?

I kind of hope this feud never ends. I hope B.o.B starts badmouthing Darwin next, or talking about how the moon landings were faked. Maybe other rappers can get involved too. I don’t know, it’s just so surreal and wonderful I hope it goes on forever.

What scientific topic do you hope B.o.B trashes next, so that Tyson can correct him? Drop your ideas in the comments below.
