Negotiating with The Kids in the Hall

In this week’s classic clip from The Kids in the Hall on the Nerdist Channel, Bruce McCullough isn’t interested in a VCR (hey, it was 1991) for $789 (Note: VCRs didn’t cost $789 in 1991). He’d rather pay a dollar. And he’s not budging, which makes for an interesting bit of haggling with shopkeeper Dave Foley, who isn’t budging, either. Not now, Murray!

After the sketch, Bruce and Mark McKinney are on the couch with Chris Hardwick.

The Monty Python team learned from Spike Milligan that you either kill the sketch or the momentum to the show by trying to end a sketch properly (also wasted a lot of energy & Time). So the just when it was just too difficult to end it , they just walked on too the set of the next sketch and started a new one. Not all the time though but only when necessary.
