Need a Refresher on GAME OF THRONES Season 3? This Video Will Do the Trick

It’s been nearly a year since we left the Realm, and lest you forgot, a lot of shit went down in season three of Game of Thrones. Like, a lot a lot! And heading into what the trailer showed to be a nonstop fourth installment of the TV take on George R.R. Martin’s fantasy novels, it would serve everyone well to get a little bit of a refresher, which is exactly why HBO put together the special Game of Thrones The Politics of Power, a look back at the comings and goings in both Westeros and Essos during last season.

Most of the major players are interviewed throughout the special: King (of the brats!) Joffrey, mom Cersei, his fatheruncle Jaime, their brother Tyrion, their terrifying father Tywin, Sansa and Arya Stark, the Hound, Jon Snow, Daenerys, and even those bloodied Starks, Robb and Catelyn. What makes the recap interesting, even if you do remember every tiny detail, is the insight the actors give us into the mentality of our favorite characters…if they were lucky to make it through alive, natch.

In addition to the series’ biggest moments getting touched upon — yes, you’ll have the chance to relive the Red Wedding again, you masochist — the 25 minute video will undoubtedly get you excited for the upcoming premiere, April 6th at 9PM (hurry!), and what’s sure to be an even bloodier season than the last.

Are you ready for Season four of Game of Thrones? Let us know down below. And join the fantasy fantasy league!

I stopped watching mid season 2 because of how much the show was straying from the books and the important story that was being left out. A friend of me try to convince me that if I endured S2, it would be worth it for S3 – I thought this recap would be a good guide as to whether to make the effort but only 5 minutes into the recap video there are already significant variations from the books. Didn;t bother with the rest of the recap but it did serve as confirmation not to bother with the show.
