MTV drama fans, will you howl at San Diego Comic-Con? Or will you Scream?
The three signature MTV dramas are coming to Comic-Con International next month, as Teen Wolf returns to San Diego, while Scream: The TV Series and The Shannara Chronicles make their Comic-Con debuts.
Teen Wolf will have its sixth Comic-Con panel on Thursday, July 9, at 6pm in Ballroom 20 with guest moderator Kevin Smith welcoming series stars Tyler Posey, Dylan O’Brien, Holland Roden, Shelley Hennig, Dylan Sprayberry, and Cody Christian in addition to executive producer and showrunner, Jeff Davis. According to MTV, the panel will also debut a new Comic-Con exclusive trailer for Teen Wolf Season 5.
On Friday, July 10 at 12:30pm in Room 6DE, fans will get their first glimpse at MTV’s adaptation of The Shannara Chronicles, with author Terry Brooks, executive producers Al Gough and Miles Millar (both of whom developed Smallville for The WB), and series stars Poppy Drayton, Austin Butler, Ivana Baquero, John Rhys-Davies, and Manu Bennett for an hour-long panel. And yes, the very first trailer for The Shannara Chronicles will premiere here.
Also on Friday, Scream: The TV Series gets a spotlight panel at 4:30pm in Room 5AB with cast members Bella Thorne, Willa Fitzgerald, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Carlson Young, Amadeus Serafini, John Karna, Connor Weil, Tracy Middendorf, and Jason Wiles joining executive producers Jaime Paglia and Jill Blotevogel for a Q&A discussion, followed by a new Scream trailer.
MTV is also putting on the second annual Fandom Awards at Petco Park, across the street from the San Diego Convention Center at 7pm, on Thursday, July 9. Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey will host the event alongside Bella Thorne from Scream. Anyone with a Comic-Con badge will be allowed to attend the MTV Fandom Fest party on Thursday night.
