Movie Morsels: Watch CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR’s Tunnel Chase Behind-the-Scenes Featurette

Never have I wanted to live in Europe as much as I do this weekend, since Captain America: Civil War opens across the continent today, and doesn’t hit our fair American shores until next week. And an enticing new featurette on the film isn’t making the wait any more bearable… Today’s Movie Morsels also offers new behind-the-scenes video from X-Men: Apocalypse and Fast 8, the latest images from Star Wars: Episode VIII, and more!

Captain America: Civil War

If what I’m hearing about Captain America: Civil War is true, then it seems we’ve got ourselves our first wholly successful superhero film trilogy! Much of the credit for this three-for-three feat goes to screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely and directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who, for the second time, have apparently grounded the superheroics of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in real-world action. Like the film’s already much talked about tunnel chase, for instance, featuring the debut of the bad-ass Black Panther! Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the scene…

Good God almighty, May 6 cannot get here soon enough!

X-Men: Apocalypse

In what is one of the weirder superhero movie sponsorships in recent memory, Coldwell Banker has another exclusive featurette that takes viewers to the set of X-Men: Apocalypse. This time around, we get a special look at the fabled X-Mansion, as it stands in the film’s 1980s…

Star Wars: Episode VIII

Director Rian Johnson lets his geek flag fly high and wide in his latest Tumblr post from the set of Star Wars: Episode VIII. The filmmaker provides captions for two new images, which look almost like vintage Star Wars ’77 pics thanks to their black-and-white photography.

“Good. Bad. I’m the guy with the microfiber sham,” jokes Johnson; adding, “I can’t believe we’re halfway through the shoot. (We’re halfway through the shoot!)”

Fast 8

Vin Diesel once more proves himself the king of social media with a new video direct from Cuba, where his Fast 8 is currently being lensed. The film’s director, F. Gary Gray, accompanies Diesel as they walk through the sun-soaked city streets of the shoot…

The channeling of Dom begins here in Cuba. Gracias por todo mi Gente! @fgarygray #F8

Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges, Eva Mendes, Lucas Black, Kurt Russell, Charlize Theron, and Jason Statham join Diesel in Fast 8, arriving on April 14. 2017.

The First Omen

The Omen

Finally today… Even with the lackluster response the new Damien TV show has garnered, Warner Bros. is planning yet another Omen film. Only this time, the studio is taking a step back and producing a prequel. Yes, I’m with you. How do you make a prequel to a film about the childhood of the antichrist? Love him or hate him, David Goyer might have the answer. He’s producing The First Omen, which will be directed by Antonio Campos.
