Jurassic World

Jurassic Park

Director Colin Trevorrow tells Slashfilm that Jurassic Park‘s T. rex will be back for his Jurassic World. “She is twenty-two years older. But she’s not limping around,” says the filmmaker. Additionally, the fourth Jurassic film will ignore the events that occurred in the second and third movies and be a “direct sequel to the original.” Jurassic World–starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard–arrives on June 12.

Tomorrowland

Disney has released two new behind-the-scenes videos for Tomorrowland, focusing on its heroine Casey (played by Britt Robertson) and Athena (Raffey Cassidy). George Clooney and Hugh Laurie also star in the Brad Bird-directed, Damon Lindelof-scripted sci-fi film based on the Disney theme park attractions. Tomorrowland will be here on May 22.

Southpaw

We’ve got the first TV spot for director Antoine Fuqua’s boxing drama Southpaw, starring Jake Gyllenhaal as Junior Middleweight Champ Billy “The Great” Hope, who fights to reclaim his daughter and dignity after the tragic death of his wife. Co-starring Rachel McAdams, Rita Ora, Naomie Harris, Tyrese Gibson, and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Southpaw enters the ring on July 24th.

Cooties

The poster for directors Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion and screenwriters Leigh Whannell and Ian Brennan’s horror-comedy Cooties is just as adorably grotesque as we’ve heard the film is. A hit at Sundance, Cooties lands in theaters and on VOD on September 18th. Here’s the official synopsis…

“When a cafeteria food virus turns elementary school children into killer zombies, a group of misfit teachers must band together to escape the playground carnage. The film stars Elijah Wood (The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings), Rainn Wilson (“The Office”), and Alison Pill (“The Newsroom”) as teachers who fight to survive the mayhem while hilariously bickering in an uncomfortable love triangle on the worst Monday of their lives.”

Fifty Shades Darker

The first sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey isn’t due in theaters until February 10, 2017–and hasn’t even signed on a director yet–but that isn’t stopping Universal from releasing the film’s first teaser trailer on the home video release of its recent S&M romance hit, featuring Jamie Dornan dressing for some kind of formal affair.
