Get ready, Star Wars fans… Because we’ve got your first view of the set of Rogue One in today’s Movie Morsels! Plus, the latest rumors swirling around who will direct Justice League Dark, the first trailer for The Divergent Series: Allegiant, our latest look at The 5th Wave, and a new featurette on the Peter Pan prequel Pan!
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
It wasn’t so long ago that our first glimpse of Star Wars: The Force Awakens came via a series of overhead spy photos of spacecraft, and now we’ve got our first look at the set of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story through the exact same means! Hopefully no Bothans died to bring us this information. Check out the following pics of the film’s London shoot, complete with star Felicity Jones getting made up. Scorch marks have rarely looked so enticing…
Directed by Gareth Edwards, Rogue One will be released on December 16, 2016.

Justice League Dark
Despite recent rumors to the contrary, we now hear that the next solo Superman movie has not been put on hold, but merely hasn’t been scheduled for release within the next four years. Meanwhile, a new rumor is out that George Miller, who some have said is a potential candidate to direct the film, is now in the running to helm the Justice League Dark movie. Of course after Mad Max: Fury Road I will pay money to watch George Miller direct a remake of Glitter.
The 5th Wave
Chloe Moretz battles aliens. Oh how I love typing those words. As for whether watching The 5th Wave will prove equally enjoyable, well, here’s the film’s latest trailer. Which is admittedly better than its first one…
Based on Rick Yancey’s YA novel and directed by J Blakeson, The 5th Wave co-stars Nick Robinson, Alex Roe, Maika Monroe, Liev Schreiber, and Zackary Arthur. It arrives on January 15, 2016.

The Divergent Series: Allegiant
Hungry for more footage of dystopic YA adaptations? Alright then, here’s the first trailer for the third and penultimate chapter in the Divergent film series, Allegiant. Directed by Robert Schwentke and based on the book by Veronica Roth, Allegiant stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Octavia Spencer, Ray Stevenson, Zoë Kravitz, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Naomi Watts, and Jeff Daniels. The film lands on March 18, 2016.
Pan
Finally today, we’ve got our first behind-the-scenes featurette on director Joe Wright’s Peter Pan prequel, Pan. Featuring Hugh Jackman, Garrett Hedlund, Rooney Mara, Amanda Seyfried, and Levi Miller, this origin story for Peter Pan and Captain Hook opens on October 9th. Truth be told, after the Star Wars prequels, I thought I had zero interest in exploring the origins of any villain again ever. And it looks like the filmmakers went so far out of the way to make sure Rooney Mara’s Tiger Lily didn’t offend anyone that she looks more like a Hot Topic shopper than a Native American princess. But the visuals (always Wright’s strong suit) look otherwise awesome, so here’s hoping!
