Ghostbusters Reboot

GhostBusters

We here at Movie Morsels aren’t too proud to admit that when we first saw Ghostbusters back in ’84, it scared the bejeezus out of us! Sure we were wee tykes, but it’s comforting nonetheless to know that, whatever he has planned for his rebooted Ghostbusters director Paul Feig gets that the original film’s mix of humor and horror accounts for a large part of its success. Speaking with Empire, the filmmaker revealed that he and Bridesmaids screenwriter Katie Dipold are set on making this Ghostbusters “scarier than the original.” As for how many folks we’ll see bustin’ ghosts in his film, Feig added, “Right now, honestly, there could be 50 Ghostbusters.” Regarding its rating, Feig said the film will have a PG-13 rating in order for it to reach “the biggest number of people.” While Feig would like his film to be R-rated, he states that, like the film we all know and love, it doesn’t require “that level of swearing.”
