Movie Morsels: MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 6 Confirmed by Paramount, New MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. Video

Did you see the latest chapter in the Mission: Impossible saga this weekend? Well, if you liked Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation as much as I did you’re probably hungry for more. Good news — more is exactly what Paramount Pictures is giving us! Also in today’s Movie Morsels we’ve got a new video on that other superspy film arriving this season, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., an update on the Crow reboot, and more!

Mission: Impossible 6

Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation

Tom Cruise announced last week that he’s already planning on doing a sixth Mission: Impossible film, and, small wonder (given MI5‘s performance during its opening weekend), Paramount has just confirmed that there will indeed be a Mission: Impossible 6. Paramount Pictures vice chairman Rob Moore has told Variety: “We’re very happy to be developing this movie with Tom. There’s no question that Ethan Hunt deserves another film.” While Cruise was, as usual, terrific in Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, actress Rebecca Ferguson was far and away the best thing about the film, so here’s hoping we see much of her Ilsa Faust in the next sequel.

The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

Sure Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible was tops at the box office this weekend, but it isn’t the last secret agent film to hit theaters this summer, oh no! Superman and the Lone Ranger, er, I mean Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer play spy with Ex Machina‘s Alicia Vikander in Guy Ritchie’s The Man from U.N.C.L.E., due out on August 14th. Here’s a new “Action Dossier” on the ’60s period thriller…

Untitled Intergalactic Love Story

Gary Oldman

What do Gary Oldman, Asa Butterfield, Carla Gugino, and Britt Robertson have in common? They’re all starring in STX Entertainment’s “Untitled Intergalactic Love Story,” announced by the company this weekend. Here’s the synopsis…

“In this modern love story about two galaxy-crossed teens from different worlds, Gardner Elliot, the first human born on Mars, is secretly raised in an experimental colony on the red planet after his astronaut mother dies during childbirth. Sixteen years later, Gardner begins an online romance with a girl living in Colorado and hatches a plan to travel across the universe to meet her. Now, on the run, with Earth’s gravity threatening his very existence, Gardner must race against time and nature to find his love and win her heart. Once united, the two teens venture to seek out the enigmatic billionaire who funded the original expedition to Mars, in hopes of uncovering information about Gardner’s mother and the mysterious circumstances surrounding how Gardner came into existence.”
