Movie Morsels: Mark Hamill Talks STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS

We’ve heard from Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher about Star Wars: The Force Awakens, so why haven’t we heard from Mark Hamill yet? There’s a perfectly good reason, as the actor reveals in today’s Movie Morsels. Plus, we have the latest poster for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, a tantalizing new X-Men: Apocalypse photo, a look at Dwayne Johnson‘s next comedy, and more!

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

The once and future Luke Skywalker, Mark Hamill, has a few words to say about why he’s had so little to say about Star Wars: The Force Awakens in a new interview with PC Gamer promoting his video game Star Citizen:

I have something coming out where there’s an amount of money that if it leaks because of me, I don’t get that payment. If I keep it a secret until the day it comes out, I get that payment. I’m good about keeping secrets. I’m proud of the fact that I knew a year and a half before anybody else that he was actually dad-Vader. I didn’t even tell Harrison, or my wife, because I thought it would be terrible if she said “you know what” to a fan and it got out, because [Empire Strikes Back director] Irvin Kershner said ‘I know something, I’m going to tell you. George [Lucas] knows, I know and now I’m gonna tell you, and if it leaks, we’ll know it’s you’, because the line originally was ‘you don’t know the truth, Obi Wan killed your father’ and he said ‘we’re going to take that line out and put in ‘I am your father’. I thought, well first of all if Sir Alec Guinness is the real villain, that’s a pretty good twist in and of itself, but this is even better. I couldn’t believe it. I was so excited. It was a mind-boggling plot twist.

X-Men: Apocalypse

Director Bryan Singer just loved sharing photos from the set of X-Men: Apocalypse, didn’t he? Now the filmmaker is sharing a post-production photo — from a screening room showing the trailer for the film. Argh, he’s such a tease!

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

“You’ve got your zombies in my Pride and Prejudice! “No, you’ve got your Pride and Prejudice in my zombies!” Any way you look at it, the adaptation of Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith’s mashup novel looks like it has something for everyone, as the film’s grim-looking new poster makes clear:

Central Intelligence

Today we’ve got our first look at Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart in Central Intelligence, an espionage comedy that pairs one of the biggest stars in America with one of the tiniest, as they play high school chums reunited for a secret mission. Rawson Marshall Thurber directs the June 17, 2016 release.

The Forest

If you’re like me, you’ll watch Natalie Dormer in damn near anything. Fortunately, the Game of Thrones star’s upcoming indie chiller The Forest, in which Dormer plays a woman looking for her missing sister in Japan, looks to provide some quality scares. Here’s the latest trailer for the film, which arrives on January 8, 2016:

Dirty Grandpa

After Neighbors, I’m willing to give Zac Efron the benefit of the doubt when it comes to raunchy comedy. And the new red-band trailer for Dirty Grandpa indicates that Efron’s mismatched buddy comedy pairing with Robert De Niro — landing on January 22, 2016 and co-starring Aubrey Plaza, Zoey Deutch, Julianne Hough, Jason Mantzoukas, Danny Glover, Adam Pally, and Dermot Mulroney — is just the thing to keep us grinning while we wait for Neighbors 2:
