Slowly but surely the weather is warming up, and so are the marketing campaigns for a whole bunch of upcoming blockbusters. But amidst all the hype thereâs also room for charity, as a new Rogue One: A Star Wars Story video demonstrates⦠Also in todayâs Movie Morsels, we have the latest on Ant-Man and the Wasp, X-Men: Apocalypse, Ready Player One, and much more!

Ant-Man and the Wasp
In addition to the ginormous cast and crew of Captain America: Civil War, plenty of other Marvel Studios superstars walked down the red carpet on Hollywood Boulevard at the filmâs world premiere this week. Ready Player One
Actor Mark Rylance was the most talked about part of Steven Spielbergâs recent Bridge of Spies, earning an Oscar for his performance as a Russian operative used as a bargaining chip at the height of the Cold War. Now Spielberg is reuniting with the performer for his next project, the eagerly awaited adaptation of the bestselling science-fiction novel Ready Player Oneâ¦
Peter Pan
Itâs a great time to be alive if youâre a fan of Disney remakes. Last yearâs Cinderella kicked a surprising amount of ass, the new Jungle Book is garnering rave reviews, and now we hear that the studio is so satisfied with its upcoming remake of 1977âs Pete’s Dragon that itâs already enlisted the services of helmer David Lowery to direct and co-write a remake of Peter Pan. Now, I understand that many will feel they need another film version of Peter Pan like they need a hole in the head. But aside from Disneyâs own 1950s animated favorite (which is still a lot of fun if one can get past the Native American stereotypes), there really hasnât been a definitive live-action version of J.M. Barrieâs classic play and the beloved children’s novel it inspired.
The Angry Birds Movie
Finally today⦠Love âem or hate âem, the Angry Birds will soon be flocking to your local multiplex in the form of Sonyâs The Angry Birds Movie. So itâs probably best to just suck it up and get your first glimpse of the filmâs latest poster nowâ¦
