MORTAL KOMBAT XL EDITION to Release in March

Kombat is about to begin again. Just a few weeks after announcing Kombat Pack 2 and its new fighters, Warner Bros. Interactive has revealed that the Mortal Kombat XL Edition is coming in March. This will be the definitive edition of Mortal Kombat X, with all of the previous DLC content included.

If you missed Goro the first time, he’s also included in Mortal Kombat XL. But perhaps the most enticing special feature in the game is the inclusion of additional characters that came with Kombat Packs 1 and 2. MK characters Tanya, Tremor, Bo Rai Cho, and Tri-Borg were joined by horror icons Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th, Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the Xenomorph from Alien, and the Predator. If it had Freddy Krueger like Mortal Kombat 9 or Michael Myers and Chucky, then Mortal Kombat XL would have been the ultimate horror fighting game as well! But XL still has an impressive lineup of guest fighters.

Mortal Kombat XL also features the Apocalypse Skin Pack, the Brazil Skin Pack, Kold War Skin Pack, Kold War Scorpion Skin, and Samurai Skin Pack. The Mortal Kombat XL launch trailer shows off some of the various costume skins while also pitting the new and classic MK characters against the guest fighters.

Warner Bros. Interactive will release Mortal Kombat XL on Xbox One and Playstation 4 on March 1 via retailers and digital outlets. There’s currently no word about a potential Mortal Kombat XL release on PC.
