Mondo Unveils Incredible ANT-MAN And CAPTAIN AMERICA SDCC Exclusive Posters

It’s getting to that point in pre-SDCC time where it’s a bit hard to keep track of all the awesome Con exclusives we’re gearing up to see. Anyone who’s walked a convention floor will tell you that it becomes an exercise in willpower for a few reasons. One, you want to make sure you can haul your goodies back to wherever you call home after SDCC. Two, it gets pretty damn expensive if you’re not careful. I know this firsthand, as I once bought a hoverboard at the beginning of a convention work day. There’s a certain irony in lugging around a cumbersome collectible all day that, in a perfect world, should actually float.

We here at Nerdist have and will continue to bring to light all sorts of SDCC goodies as the week progresses; it’s got to that point in time when we all begin mapping out our booth-visit game plans. If you’re not already planning on it, you may want to swing by Booth #835 for all your Mondo needs, including these ridiculously awesome Captain America and Ant-Man posters.

As a recent post on Gizmodo explains, this Ant-Man print by artist Ken Taylor will be available Mondo’s SDCC booth on Friday, while the green version of the poster (in the gallery below) will be available online soon thereafter. A variant by Stan and Vince of Captain America donning his makeshift WWII-era garb will be available Thursday.

Perhaps most exciting is the absolutely gorgeous poster by Rory Kurtz showing Captain America standing in the middle of a destroyed town. The poster is, of course, evocative of the destruction seen throughout WWII, a scene made especially poignant with Cap standing amid the rubble seemingly unscathed and completely alone. The price of super-soldiering, I suppose.

Make sure to keep an eye on all the SDCC madness by checking in with Nerdist during the convention. If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by Petco Park for the Nerdist and Geek & Sundry’s Camp Conival.

Are these posters on your SDCC wish-list? What other exclusives are you hoping to get your hands on? Let’s discuss in the comments below!
