MODERN FAMILY Cast Impersonates BREAKING BAD and Other Shows

The Hollywood Reporter is getting ready to release their 100 Favorite TV Shows issue, and there are few better ways to celebrate than taking a bunch of fun photos of the cast of Modern Family. Which—based on the approximately 9,000 awards the show has won during its six seasons on ABC—seems to be TV’s favorite show. So that’s what they did and guess what? The results are stunning.

The cast recreated scenes from a host of iconic television series, including Breaking Bad, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Cheers, I Dream of Jeannie, and Frasier. Oh yeah, they also did Married With Children, which is extra special since Modern Family’s Ed O’Neill was on the show in his younger days and played Al Bundy, one of the most famous grumps in television history.

Sofia Vergara’s Peggy Bundy impression in the photo is spot on, as are Julie Bowen as Mary Tyler Moore and Eric Stonestreet as Dr. Frasier Crane, the latter of which we are having a hard time getting over because it’s unsettlingly perfect.

The Hollywood Reporter also shared a bunch of behind-the-scenes videos of the photoshoots, so watch the Breaking Bad clip above and the rest below:

Check out more photos over at The Hollywood Reporter, where the unique and interesting processes behind each shoot are explained. Apparently O’Neill really wanted to play Tony Soprano, but we and the rest of the internet are happy he went with the obvious choice.
