During the Evil Dead films and Army of Darkness, Ashley J. Williams (Bruce Campbell) always considered himself a ladies man. But thatâs not as true as it used to be! In a new featurette from Ash vs. Evil Dead, Ash hits on his much younger co-worker, Kelly Maxwell (Dana DeLorenzo) in a totally not age appropriate way…and she lets him know just how badly sheâll hurt him if he tries it again!
The new Ash vs. Evil Dead featurette has a lot of new footage from the upcoming Starz original series, and the best introduction of the cast to date. This video does have a fairly significant spoiler regarding how the Deadites return. Director Sam Raimi, showrunner Craig DiGregorio, and executive producer Rob Tapert also seem to enjoy coming up with new ways to describe Ashâs pathetic state of being prior to the start of the series.
DeLorenzo and her co-star, Ray Santiago also talk about their roles as Ashâs new sidekicks, Kelly and Pablo, respectively. Jill Marie Jonesâ Amanda Fisher is also expanded upon as the preview scenes hint that she may have developed an ability to see the supernatural after her encounter with the Deadites.
Perhaps the most intriguing thing in the new footage is the first real glimpse of Lucy Lawlessâ Ruby, as she interrogates a Deadite about Ashâs whereabouts. Ruby has a grudge against Ash that dates back to the Evil Dead films, and she may be more than either he or the Deadites can handle! The featurette also depicts the first meeting between Ruby and Amanda.
Ash vs. Evil Dead will have a ten episode first season on Starz that is slated to debut on Saturday, October 31.
