IRON FIST Adds GAME OF THRONES/STAR WARS Actress as Colleen Wing

The Daughters of the Dragon are coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Last year, Simone Missick was cast as Misty Knight in Luke Cage, and now Marvel has lined up Jessica Henwick to play Knight’s partner, Colleen Wing in Iron Fist.

Like her Iron Fist co-star, Finn Jones, Henwick had a memorable role on Game of Thrones as Nymeria Sand, one of the Sand Snakes. She also had a small role as X-Wing pilot Jessika Pava in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, so she’s coming into the MCU with a ton of geek cred. For anyone who isn’t familiar with Colleen Wing’s comic book incarnation, this is what she looks like:

Colleen Wing

Colleen Wing was created by Doug Moench and Larry Hama in 1974 as a supporting character for Iron Fist, before she eventually formed the Daughters of the Dragon with Misty Knight. Wing and Knight have headlined their own Marvel comic book series as well as Heroes of For Hire. It’s a pretty safe bet that they will eventually come together in the MCU, even if it doesn’t happen until The Defenders.

In the Iron Fist live-action series, Colleen Wing will be the female lead, and a martial arts expert who befriends Danny Rand (Jones) after his return to New York from the mystical city known as K’un L’un.

So far, only Henwick and Jones have been cast in Iron Fist, but the series is expected to begin production later this year, so expect more cast additions as we get closer.
