Marvel’s INHUMANS’ First Trailer Has a Revolution on the Moon

It’s taken decades for Marvel’s Inhumans to make the jump to live-action. And while the previously announced movie didn’t happen, the Inhumans TV series is coming this fall after a brief stop in IMAX theaters. Today, Marvel and ABC dropped the first full trailer for Inhumans, and it revealed why the royal family hasn’t previously appeared on Earth. It’s because their capital city, Attilan, is on the moon!

The main focus of the trailer is on Black Bolt (Anson Mount), king of the Inhumans, and his brother, Maximus. Game of Thrones fans probably recognize Iwan Rheon from his role as Ramsay Bolton. He’s no less treacherous as Maximus the Mad, and we see him unseat his brother in a military coup. Fortunately, Black Bolt still has the loyalty of Lockjaw, the giant dog who can teleport across vast distances in the blink of an eye.

It looks like Black Bolt will at least make the attempt to blend in on Earth, but it won’t be easy. Black Bolt’s voice can shatter mountains, and even he can’t remain silent while he’s under attack. The trailer only briefly touches upon the other members of the Royal family, including Crystal (Isabelle Cornish), Karnak (Ken Leung), and Triton (Mike Moh). The queen of the Inhumans, Medusa (Serinda Swan) is also glimpsed in the trailer, but we don’t get to see her signature hair in action.

The first two episodes of Inhumans will be released in IMAX theaters on September 1st for a limited run. Then, the eight-episode first season will premiere on ABC on September 29.
