MARVEL’S AGENT CARTER Takes Aim in New Season 2 Trailer

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will soon broadcast its last two episodes until March 2016. But don’t worry Marvel fans, Agent Carter will once again take over Tuesday nights with a brand new season.

Agent Carter Season 2 picks up in 1947, several months after Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) saved Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) and prevented a terror attack on New York City. However, Jack Thompson (Chad Michael Murray) took credit for Peggy’s actions and he secured a promotion for himself.

This season, Peggy is relocating to Los Angeles as she investigates a new threat on behalf of the SSR. ABC has released a new teaser trailer for Agent Carter that is remarkably light on plot details. However, we do get to see Carter’s warm reunion with Edwin Jarvis (James D’Arcy), and a more professional welcome from Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj), the new head of SSR Los Angeles. There are also a few shots of Carter kicking ass as only she can!

From what we already know about the second season, Ken Marino (Veronica Mars) is playing mafia leader Joseph Manfredi, and Wynn Everett will portray Whitney Frost, the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s incarnation of Madame Masque. Carter’s nemesis and Russian sleeper agent, Dottie Underwood (Bridget Regan) is also slated to appear in the new season. Considering how their last meeting went, we can’t wait to see that particular reunion.

Additionally, Lotte Verbeek (Outlander) is joining the cast as Ana Jarvis, the previously mentioned but unseen wife of Edwin Jarvis, with Kurtwood Smith as Vernon Masters. Reggie Austin is also playing Jason Wilkes, a man who may be Peggy Carter’s new love interest.

Agent Carter’s 10 episode second season will begin with a two-hour premiere on Tuesday, January 5, 2016.
