Earlier this month, Marvel teased the complete Cinematic Universe Phase 2 Blu-ray collection. Today, we finally know what to expect from the Avengers: Age of Ultron Blu-ray.
A newly-released trailer for the Avengers: Age of Ultron Blu-ray has revealed that it has 45 minutes of extras, including a gag reel, featurettes about the Infinity Stones, the filmâs global locations, and the actual making of the movie in addition to a few deleted scenes.
Because director Joss Whedon was very vocal about the scenes that were cut, we already have some idea of what to expect from the deleted scenes. Thereâs likely an extended cut of Thor (Chris Hemsworth) experiencing a vision in the cave, with Tom Hiddleston making a cameo as Loki. Whedon has also mentioned filming alternate takes with Pietro Maximoff a.k.a. Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) during the filmâs final battle with Ultron and the last scene in the movie.
Whedon will also provide commentary for both the full-length Age of Ultron and the deleted scenes. But Whedon has previously indicated that there will not be a âdirectorâs cutâ that reintegrates the deleted scenes back into the movie.
To further entice fans, Marvel has also released a clip from one of Age of Ultronâs most memorable scenes in which Vision (Paul Bettany) demonstrates just how worthy he really is.
Marvel will release the digital version of Avengers: Age of Ultron on September 8th. If you want the Blu-ray or DVD, youâll have to wait until Tuesday, October 2.
