Make the HOCUS POCUS Spell Book with FANCRAFTING

♫ SISTERS! Gather ’round and we’ll take thee away—into a land of enchantment. Follow, sweet children, the time’s come to play, in our first installment of Fancrafting. ♫

Because in this, our inaugural DIY segment from Fangirling, we’re recreating the spookiest spellbook in all the land: the Sanderson Sisters’ treasured possession from Hocus Pocus! Finally/at long last, there’s a step-by-step way to bring your own spooky spell-keeper to life!

Hosted by Nerdist School attendees and Hellmouthy podcast hosts Ryan Mogge and Kelly Nugent, Fancrafting is just one of several fun segments we’re doing in our new show Fangirling. Created by our own Managing Editor (and the person who just so happens to be writing this post—twist!) Alicia Lutes and co-hosted alongside Editor-in-Chief Rachel Heine, Fangirling is Nerdist’s home for all things nerdy and exciting and, oh yeah, worthy of the sort of celebratory love that comes with being a fangirl. And what better way is there to show that love than to recreate the look, feel, and spooky vibes of that book o’ skin and eyeballs owned by the witches Sanderson? (That’s a rhetorical question, natch.)
