LUKE CAGE Season 2 Photo Reveals Misty Knight’s New Robo Arm

Warning: there are spoilers ahead if you haven’t made it through The Defenders yet!

In the final episode of The Defenders, Simone Missick’s Misty Knight found herself involved in the last showdown with the Hand, and she paid the price! Knight’s right arm was severed by a sword, but her life was saved by Claire Temple and Colleen Wing. In Marvel’s comic book universe, Knight lost her arm to an explosion before gaining a bionic replacement. Now, it looks like the MCU is going in a similar direction.

Via Heroic Hollywood, Entertainment Weekly debuted the first picture of Misty Knight’s new arm from the upcoming second season of Luke Cage.

Knight’s bionic arm has been a part of her backstory for decades, and it was originally given to her by Tony Stark. While that’s not entirely impossible, it’s likely that Marvel’s Netflix series will remain separate from the Marvel films despite sharing the same universe. Fortunately, Iron Fist‘s ties to Rand Corporation will probably allow Misty to get her state-of-the-art replacement limb.

For comparison’s sake, this is what Misty Knight’s bionic arm looks like in the comics.

The ending of The Defenders may have also set up the future partnership between Knight and Wing. Within the Marvel Universe, they are close friends and collectively known as the Daughters of the Dragon. That’s definitely a team up we’d love to see in live-action!
