Everyone knows heâs the favored son of Asgard.
Wait. What Marvel movies did you see? Loki may not wield Mjölnir or wear the Asgardian crown, but the fandom sometimes misses these details while being distracted by unparalleled charisma and a backstory of strife and loss. In this new completely not-for-profit fan-made film, Loki: Brother of Thor, Vimeo user Loki Odinson (haha) has spliced together more than two hours of footage from the three Marvel universe films featuring Loki to create a whole new look at the Trickster God.

The new edit of the footage includes bits of deleted scenes from the Blu-rays as well as scenes you will have already seen on the big screen. The editor carefully makes note on the videoâs page that he or she seeks no profit from this editing endeavor. The only goal was to further explore the character development of Loki with a fresh take on the existing footage of his character.
If you have a few hours to kill, this is a good way to spend them if you have already seen Thor, The Avengers, and Thor: The Dark World as this is rife with spoilers left and right. We are impressed not only by the expanded story arcs, but also the steps the filmmaker took to fill in gaps in the story including a montage that tries to illuminate the time of Lokiâs exile and his involvement with the Tesseract. The filmmaker created it from footage, deleted scenes and featurettes, including a bit from Guardians of the Galaxy.
You canât possibly need an excuse beyond curiosity to spend two hours of your week looking at Tom Hiddlestonâs face, right? Once you’ve done that, you’ll probably need another hour or so of his voice to keep you satisfied, so go ahead and listen to his episode of the Nerdist Podcast too. Oh, and the rule of threes dictates that you should then go watch his #IceBucketChallenge.
