LexCorp Industries Releases Suspicious New Video at New York Comic Con

Yesterday we brought you the news about LexCorp Industries supplying free wifi to the folks attending this weekend’s New York Comic Con, and today the company released a video at the exhibition to introduce its new operating system, Lex/OS.

Touting it as “the world’s most private and secure operating system, engineered with the protection you need and the freedom you want,” the company encourages folks to come by their booth to get their free portable charging device.

The video doesn’t feature any people, just some slick animation and words with a voice over reading. “At LexCorp Industries, we believe in technology that unites us,” the smooth voice tells us, using words like “inspiration, innovation, and imagination” as the guiding principles to “create a greater tomorrow, today.”

As much as I am tempted to align myself with the fictional billionaire giving away free stuff, knowing who Lex Luthor really is makes it very hard to believe that Lex/OS is “private and secure.” Then again, that video is really smooth and he is giving away goodies.

You can also visit the new LexCorp website. There isn’t much there beyond some industry buzzwords, but the bottom of the page says, “We’ve got a lot to show you,” in winter 2015. Between the viral campaigning that is kicking in to high gear at NY Comic Con, Luthor also gave an interview to Fortune magazine this week you won’t want to miss.

So what do you think we’ve learned about the potential storyline for Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice? Log-in and tell us in the comments.
