Let This Beautiful UNDERTALE Lullaby Rock You to Sleep (Exclusive)

Get your pillows ready, folks, because we’ve got a brand new song to premiere from the fifth Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies album. Slated to release on December 1, 2016, the relaxing Undertalefocused two-disc album comes from the musical minds of Gentle Love–which consists of saxophonist Norihiko Hibino (Metal Gear Solid series and Bayonetta) and pianist Ayaki (Etrian Odyssey, and Persona Q). A few months ahead of its debut, we’ve gotten our hands on the beautiful track “Fallen Down.” Give it a listen in the video above.

In addition to “Fallen Down,” the album features renditions of tunes from the original Undertale soundtrack (composed by Toby Fox), a musical improvisation session, and even an original song by Gentle Love. Based on what we heard above, and the few songs that you can already sample on the production company’s (Scarlet Moon Productions) Bandcamp page, the group has put a lovely spin on the game’s original music, which was in the 8-bit style. There is already a delightful mix of rhythms; some are great for sending you off to dreamland, while others will serve as relaxing study aides.

“Undertale’s themes of friendship, sacrifice, redemption, and of course, determination, are all beautiful attributes that play well into what Norihiko Hibino is trying to do with his unique brand of healing music,” notes Scarlet Moon Records producer Jayson Napolitano. “Plus, Toby Fox’s score is so amazing and memorable, how could we not do an entire volume dedicated to it?”
