LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE Maps Created by Retro Superfan

If you’ve been trapped under a rock, or a colossal talking Olmec head, then you may not have heard that there’s going to be a new Legends of the Hidden Temple TV Movie released by Nickelodeon. It’s a delightful shock to hear that Nick is developing a narrative take on the eponymous ’90s game show—unlike the shocks provided by the hidden Mayan Temple Guards, which caused palpable childhood anxiety for some of us—and to celebrate, we present to you detailed maps of each season’s Temple Runs.

These Temple Run maps, which you can check out in full in the image gallery below, were created by Thomas Hathaway, a.k.a. “FreeNintendo21.” If you check out Hathaway’s deviantART profile or his YouTube channel, you’ll find a plethora of content devoted to retro entertainment and gaming, including dedications to Inspector Gadget and the Power Rangers, as well as some stellar NES game reviews.  (Warning: NSFW language and possible nostalgia overload.)

Hathaway’s maps give a super clear cross-sectional look at the Temple Runs from the three seasons the show was on the air, including all of the classic rooms like the Pit of Despair, the Jester’s Court, the Troubled Bridge, and all of the other obstacles that stood between the contestants and their trip to the Best Western in Mexico.

Try your best to look at any one of these maps and not think about a long pink line snaking its way toward a glowing artifact. Pendant of Life if you can.
