ALL THAT Had an Even Bigger Cast Reunion at Comikaze 2015

If the Nickelodeon All That reunion at New York Comic Con was a small, intimate get-together, the secondary reunion that occurred at Comikaze 2015 this past weekend was more like a house party. With an initial panel size of about a dozen cast members, the stage soon filled up to more than 15 as more former cast members seemingly just wandered in off the street to the panel that was taking place.

After their introductions, it was obvious that the crowd in attendance was made up of the kids that watched All That during its initial run in the mid ’90s. This was made painfully apparent as the applause, shouts, and cheers died down significantly when the cast from the later years introduced themselves. There was no love lost among any of the cast, however, as even actors that never worked with each other on the show shared a bond that can only be found in fraternities, military service, and sketch comedy television. They were all in high spirits as they reminisced about the show and their experiences. While many referred to it as a make-shift high school reunion, like the cast members in New York did, Josh Server felt it held a little more significance. “Let’s just admit, we’re all lucky to be alive. Former child actors who are alive and speaking in full sentences, this is all good stuff.”

The panel had all the goodies many expected—they sang the theme song to the show, talked about their favorite memories, and Kel said “Welcome to Good Burger” at one point. It was very interesting to hear how differently the show ran between the initial run in the ’90s and the rebooted series in the early ’00s. Cast member Ryan Johnson commented on how terrible the reception of his re-booted Ed from Good Burger was, as well as how the newer cast couldn’t get away with the hijinks the original cast remembered so fondly.
