Latest X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Set Pic Confirms the Return of QUICKSILVER

Remember when the first picture of Evan Peters’ version of Quicksilver was released from X-Men: Days of Future Past and everyone lost their minds and started screaming bloody murder about how lame it was, and how Avengers: Age of Ultron’s version of Quicksilver was going to leave the X-Men version in the dust? Yeah, what a difference a year and a half can make.

Not only did Evan Peters steal the show in Days of Future Past, he had arguably the coolest scene in the movie. As for Aaron Johnson’s version of Pietro Maximoff, well, he was fine….but he was outshined by new additions to the team like the Vision and the Scarlet Witch. I’m afraid that Evan Peters won the battle of the Quicksilvers. Now who saw that coming?

Now, X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer has confirmed that Evan Peters will return to the part of Peter Maximoff, and has released a picture of Peters and another actor against a green screen backdrop suspended from wires and says, “Just another day at the office.”

We don’t yet know how big a part Quicksilver is going to be playing this time around; hopefully after the last movie, Singer and company will give him more screen time than he had before, but if it’s as good of a scene as the one we got in Days of Future Past, I doubt that many fans will be complaining. It’ll be interesting to see which side the character falls on this time around, Xavier’s or Apocalypse’s?

In the meantime, check out Singer’s Instagram pic below, and let us know what you think in the comments below:
