Behind the Scenes of Our Kraken League of Darkness Party at Comic-Con

Our feet are tired, our voices are gone, but our hearts are full, because we’ve just completed another Comic-Con! If you were down in San Diego for the pop culture madness, you may have spotted Team Nerdist on our Hall H (!!!) panel, hanging out at our space-themed Conival for laser tag, leading our Wonder Wonder cosplay march, or dancing it up at our inaugural Alpha bash. However, we know that not everyone can make the trek to the coast, so if you were stuck at home suffering a wicked case of FOMO while all your internet friends and faves enjoyed the festivities, never fear: we have an exclusive sneak peek of what it was like to release the Kraken on San Diego Comic-Con.

Last Friday night, Nerdist’s own Dan Casey infiltrated the Kraken League of Darkness party at FLUXXX nightclub to go behind-the-scenes of our first Alpha Comic-Con shindig. Party-goers could wrestle the Kraken, get a hand-painted tattoo of the iconic sea monster, snap photos in our photobooth, and sample cocktails made from our sponsor, Kraken Rum.

With creepy cool tentacles climbing up the walls, deviously delicious drinks, and a bunch of monstrously fun themed activities, the Kraken League of Darkness party was a resounding success. And if you’re bummed you missed out, don’t worry: there will be plenty more events for Alpha members. Head on over to ProjectAlpha.com to find out more about our shows, our amazing community, and of course, all the perks of being a member. Special thanks to Kraken rum for sponsoring our party, and thanks to everyone who said hi or hung out with us this weekend!
