Key And Peele Think THE LEGO MOVIE Deserved An Oscar Nomination Too

Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele can not be stopped. The two comedians, and MADtv alumni, have been hitting it out of the park for four seasons now with their Comedy Central show Key & Peele. Not only has the show seen critical acclaim, a seal of approval from President Barack Obama, and even a Peabody Award for it’s third season, but their sketches have become an internet sensation as well.  Don’t believe us? Check your Facebook news feed and see for yourself. What else has seen this much success in the past year? The LEGO Movie. The LEGO Movie has seen nearly unanimous praise from critics and movie goers alike and was the 4th highest grossing film of 2014. Many people, it seems Key and Peele included, felt the film’s omission from The 87th Academy Award nominations was a major over sight.

Now, Comedy Central has given Key and Peele their own Super Bowl special. With the success of their annual East/West Bowl sketches, the boys have now set their sights on the world of professional football. While the internet has already seen some of the highly anticipated sketches, like a star-studded Pro Edition of their East/West Bowl sketch, the episode held some great surprises. One of those came at the expense of the extensive press conferences of both teams playing in the big game. It seems Seattle’s Richard Sherman is just as upset about The LEGO Movie as we are.

Check out the video below as Keegan-Michael Key’s Richard Sherman explains his biggest problem, and leave your thoughts in the comment section below.

But, it seems Sherman and Jordan Peele’s Marshawn Lynch have some issues with the Academy’s decisions this year all around. Biscuits and gravy.
