KEY AND PEELE Return for a Super Bowl Ad

Remember when Key and Peele went off the air? That was a bummer, but let’s not forget that Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele are still alive, and they’re still out there doing stuff, often together.

Thankfully, the duo has teamed up once again, this time for a new Super Bowl commercial for Squarespace. It’s not clear exactly what the ad will be, but the teaser above presents Lee and Morris at a press conference making a big announcement. In addition to their ad during the game, the two will also be providing live commentary as the “Big Game” is happening, at realtalk.squarespace.com.

“Big Game” is probably a term you’ll hear thrown around a lot during their broadcast: Squarespace certainly didn’t obtain the rights to any trademarks related to the game, so expect Key and Peele to spend a few hours finding hilarious ways to indirectly (and legally) describe the action on the field. Expect them to refer to the Denver Broncos as the Colorado Horses and the Carolina Panthers as the Charlotte Big Black Cats.

Expect madness, basically, and expect it to be a lot of fun. Squarespace founder and CEO Anthony Casalena told Mashable about the endeavor, “Every year we really look around for people who can take a prompt from us and run with an idea and create something that’s a more organic result than something totally scripted. We’re just really big fans of theirs from a creative standpoint so it should be really exciting.”

Let us know in the comments if you’ll be listening to Lee and Morris’ commentary during the game, which goes down on February 7.
