Kermit The Frog and Miss Piggy Made Jimmy Kimmel Very Uncomfortable

Break-ups are always really tough on both parties, and that’s partly because it’s such a process: There’s the deed itself, the mixed feelings over the following weeks, having to collect the things you’ve always left at their place, and of course, appearing on a nationally televised late night talk as guests together. At least that’s how Kermit The Frog and Miss Piggy’s split seems to have gone.

The two had apparently committed to being guests on Jimmy Kimmel Live together before the downfall of their romantic relationship, but being the consummate professionals that the two have been for decades, they kept their promise and did not cancel their appearance. That doesn’t mean they were great guests or even that civil, but they were definitely present to promote their upcoming television show, The Muppets.

The two almost instantly started airing out their dirty laundry. For instance, Miss Piggy grew tired of Kermit taking his baths in the kitchen sink. Kermit got really snippy and responded, “I’m a frog, that’s part of the deal. You knew I was a frog.”

Miss Piggy proved that her ego hasn’t taken a hit throughout her romantic troubles, though, as she compared her love life to Donald Trump–everything she does is huge, which Kermit quipped is part of the problem.

Oh yeah, the atmosphere was absolutely volatile. Meanwhile, we’re trying to figure out who was controlling the puppets and how they did it. We see no signs of human interaction there, so it’s confirmed: Muppets are alive.
