Kanye West is calling microtransactions mother f***er for long, because no one man should be bound 2 the clutches of cash-grab pop ups while enjoying a game. It hit Mr. West especially close to home since it was his daughter, North West, who was being bombarded by these awful intrusions. Annoyed to no end, Kanye took to Twitter to voice his frustrations:
Fuck any game company that puts in-app purchases on kids games!!!
â KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) October 10, 2015
Keep in mind, someone as rich as the Louis Vuitton Don probably wouldn’t sweat splurging a couple bucks on an in-game transaction, but that’s rarely the issue when it comes to pesky micro-trash-actions. Being interrupted while trying to enjoy your content is sh*t, and that’s what Kanye goes on to clarify in his following tweets: Â
That makes no sense!!! We give the iPad to our child and every 5 minutes there’s a new purchase!!! â KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) October 10, 2015
If a game is made for a 2 year old, just allow them to have fun and give the parents a break for Christ sake.
â KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) October 10, 2015
While Kanye seems quite frustrated with microtransactions here, he was at least careful enough in his word choice to make sure he pointed out ” in-app purchases on kids games”. Otherwise, he’d have to play the blame game with his booski Kim Kardashian, whose highly lucrative smartphone game is loaded with microtransactions. Either way, you have to applaud the man for doing what gamers have been doing quite a bit over the last two generations: denouncing the evils of in-game commerce. Make this man the president, please! Listen to the kids bro!
