Hoy Toys’ JUSTICE LEAGUE Flash Figure Comes Packing Batarang

Last month, Hot Toys showcased its Batman and Aquaman figures from the Justice League movie. And with the opening of the film just a few weeks away, Hot Toys is turning their attention to “the fastest man alive.” The 1/6 scale figure based upon Ezra Miller‘s the Flash has been revealed, and it’s bringing more speed than we expected.

The Flash figure comes with blue lightning attachments that help create the illusion of Barry Allen’s connection to the Speed Force as he races across the DC Extended Universe. That’s a very clever way to convey Barry’s legendary speed, but it’s far from the only extra coming with this figure. The other thing that immediately grabbed our attention is the alternate attachable hand that includes a Batarang. In the trailers, Barry asks Batman if he can keep the Batarang, and apparently he did! Given its inclusion here, we can’t help but wonder if that particular Batarang will factor into the film’s conclusion.

This is not only a great recreation of Miller’s likeness, it also makes him look more impressive as the Flash than most of the footage that we’ve seen from the movie. Perhaps the costume simply looks better when seen in proper lighting, or maybe Hot Toys gave its Barry Allen some more heroic proportions. Either way, it looks great and it makes the costume more easily acceptable.

Sideshow Collectibles has made the Flash available for pre-order, with an expected shipping date between October 2018 and December 2018. That is a long wait, but if you’ve got $228 or a willingness to use Sideshow’s payment plan, then the DCEU’s Scarlet Speedster can be yours.
