If you’ve checked out the most recent trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, then you know Owen and Claire don’t have the best handle on the Isla Nublar situation. Maybe it’s time the old guard came in and showed them how it’s done… Or at least show them a diorama of how it’s done. Iron Studios’ latest statue releases can assist in doing just that.
Before putting Thor and Hulk through their paces as the Grandmaster, Jeff Goldblum made everyone swoon as the calm, cool, and collected Dr. Ian Malcolm. Just please remember that these are statues and not action figuresâMalcolm’s shirt cannot unbutton any further.
Not since Fred Jones first took the wheel of the Mystery Machine has wearing an ascot looked so cool; tough as it may be, Dr. Alan Grant really pulls off the look. Anyone who can square off with a T. Rex and group of velociraptors and live to tell the tale can wear anything they want in our book.
Each 1/10 scale hand-painted statue is rendered in polystone and can be placed on a stand adorned with the Jurassic Park logo. The Malcolm and Grant statues are the first of an eventual “T. Rex Attack” diorama, with Iron Studios releasing subsequent pieces throughout the year. You can check out more pictures of these awesome looking statues in the gallery below, and you can pre-order them this Friday on Chronicle Collectibles’ website. They will be available starting 4 pm EST and will run $89.99 each.
So what do you think? Are these statues a great way to pay homage to the original Jurassic Park? Let me know on Twitter @donnielederer or sound off in the comments below.
