JURASSIC PARK Is a Lot Cuter as a Nature Doc

“Meet Little Tail. Be there for her birth. Watch as she takes her first steps. And follow her journey as she discovers the world. From Mashable Nature comes a story we all live: of being born, growing up, and surviving in a dangerous world.”

See, if you just remove the genetic modification, humans trying to play god for the purpose of opening a theme park, and the eventual eating of said humans, the raptors of the Jurassic Park films aren’t quite as terrifying. In fact, they can be downright adorable. Ehhh… sorta.

In this newest Trailer Mix from Mashable Watercooler (or rather Mashable Nature in this case), their weekly series where they re-cut films into different genres or styles, they invite us “to an incredible island, where life finds a way.

“Raptors” gives us a look at “the world of dinosaurs” in the form of A March of the Penguins-style nature documentary. We get to experience what it’s like to grow up as a dino in a prehistoric world completely free of humans—even the awesome ones like Chris Pratt.

It’s probably best they didn’t do this in a BBC Earth true-to-life style, because it would be weird to hear Sir David Attenborough narrating people being eaten.

“And here we see the raptors working together to rip apart their trainer, who is very much alive as they begin to eat him. It’s been a long day—the raptors are hungry, and they worked hard for this meal. This is one dinner they are sure to relish.”

Actually, just have the man do it. For all four films (yes, even Jurassic Park III).

What other movie with extinct or imaginary creatures would make for a faux nature doc? Tell us your best ideas in the comments below.
