JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS #3 Is a Kooky, Fun Beach Party (Exclusive Preview)

Josie and the Pussycats does not shy away from insanity. Now entering its third issue, Archie Comics‘ new revival of the 1960s series has been an absolutely fantastic madcap trip and bursting with vibrant energy. Without a doubt, Josie and the Pussycats is pure, unbridled fun.

This Wednesday, the fun continues with Josie and the Pussycats #3, which might be the craziest issue yet, what with its offering of beach parties, giraffes, t-shirt guns, and hoverboards. This issue delves into the past to show us some of Josie and Alexandra’s history. It also has a tiger in it. And a jet ski race. Did we mention the hoverboards? Like, real hoverboards; not those stupid little two-wheeled things that people call hoverboards but are clearly not hoverboards. There’s a lot going on in this issue, in other words, and the creative team isn’t afraid to pack as much as they can into every page. Marguerite Bennett, Cameron Deordio, Audrey Mok, and Kelly Fitzpatrick have outdone themselves. The colors are amazing, the art is gorgeous, and the script is hilarious.

Fitzpatrick deserves a special shoutout for the colors in this issue. They really are superb and elevate the whole book to a new level of greatness. It’s stunning stuff, really, and a true showcase for just how essential the right colorist is to a comic book.

We’re pretty sure you’ll love the book as much as we do, so we’ve arranged a preview for you fine folks. No, no, don’t thank us. We do this because we care, that’s all. Sure, if you want to get us a gift, that’d be okay, but we just want you to enjoy this exclusive preview of Josie and the Pussycats #3.

Check out the pages below and pick up the issue this Wednesday, December 7th at your local comic shop.
