Join THE FORCE AWAKENS with New STAR WARS Fashion Line from Her Universe and Hot Topic

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is still making waves. The first installment of the sequel trilogy continuing the Skywalker saga has been available on Blu-ray/DVD for about a month, and we’ve all had time to watch the film over and over again and find new facets to obsess over. I’m still hung up on the fashion. I like the look and function of Rey’s wraps, I’m in love with Poe and Finn’s jacket, and don’t get me started Phasma’s shiny armor. Luckily, I’m not the only one taking an uncomfortably close look at the costumes. Her Universe and Hot Topic worked with the finalists from the Her Universe Geek Couture fashion show at San Diego Comic-Con to co-design a fashion forward line based on The Force Awakens.

Leetal Platt and Kelly Cercone nabbed the grand prize at the show last summer. In a press release announcing the Episode VII collection, Hot Topic’s senior vice president of merchandising and marketing Cindy Levitt said, “Seeing their journey from sketch to production to a collection on the floor of a national retailer was truly a great experience for all.”

What did they create? Oh my stars, brace yourselves and your wallets. The limited edition collection includes dresses modeled on BB-8, Poe Dameron, Rey, Kylo Ren, and First Order stormtrooper armor. There are jackets inspired by Captain Phasma and Finn. You can also nab Phasma leggings and a cozy looking Rey hooded cardigan.

Gaze upon the entire selection in the gallery just below. When you’ve made your decisions about which items you absolutely need (like the Rey cardigan or the Poe Dameron dress or the Captain Phasma jacket), you can head to select Hot Topic retail locations or their website to make purchases.

Will you choose to join the First Order or the Resistance with this collection? Head to the comments and tell me about your favorites.
