JK Rowling Gives Sorting News for Two Famous Kids from HARRY POTTER

Yesterday Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling James Sirius Potter, Hogwarts’ newest student, good luck on his first day at the magical school of witchcraft and wizardry. She followed that up with some news that is sure to excite his parents, Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley, as well as Harry Potter fans all over the world.

And so another Potter enters Gryffindor, which comes as no surprise. While Rowling never confirmed before yesterday that the eldest child of Harry Potter was in House Gryffindor, fans know that the final book in the series ends with James teasing his younger brother, Albus Severus, before his first trip on the Hogwart’s Express. James “assures” his brother he will be sorted into Slytherin, a notion that has the younger son very worried. The strong inference was that James had been sorted into his parents’ house.

Today’s sorting news goes beyond just James though, since Rowling revealed the house of Teddy Lupin, son of Remus and Nymphadora (a.k.a. Tonks), both forever missed. Not only did we find out that he is a Hufflepuff, but we’ve learned he’s risen to the title of Head Boy. While Teddy’s father was a member of Gryffindor, his mother was a Hufflepuff.

We’ll probably have to wait two years to find out if little Albus gets his wish to be sorted into Gryffindor, but like his father said, the bravest man he ever knew was a Slytherin, so there is no shame in that.
