Jimmy Kimmel Stars in a “Deleted” BATMAN V SUPERMAN Scene

Last night, Jimmy Kimmel hosted the 11th annual Jimmy Kimmel Live “After The Oscars” show, and he revealed that had things gone a bit differently, it’s possible that he himself may have been up for awards consideration next year.

Batman himself, Ben Affleck, was a guest on last night’s program, and he had the burden of telling Kimmel that his scene he totally filmed for the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was cut from the movie. The reason why? Affleck didn’t think audiences would be able to bear seeing Kimmel for such a brief amount of time because his electric performance would leave them wanting more. Thankfully, Affleck shared the “deleted” scene (watch it above), in which Kimmel interrupts Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne at a party to do something no character in the DC universe has done: See past the flimsy disguises and realize the superhero identities of Kent and Wayne.

When Affleck first approached the couch, Kimmel also saw past his giant overcoat and revealed that Affleck had betrayed his trust by trying to sneak in his archenemy Matt Damon, with whom Kimmel has been in a constant “feud” for years. Kimmel was not amused by the trickery:

This wasn’t Damon’s only uninvited appearance on the show: Guillermo was interviewing Sacha Baron Cohen live from the Governor’s Ball only to be interrupted by a video-bombing Damon trying to get some screen time in the background:

Once Damon was forcibly removed from the set, Affleck talked about the time his kid wanted a superhero birthday party, so the actor went through a surprisingly arduous ordeal of getting the Batman suit from the movie studio, only to realize that the parents there probably thought that he was really into himself.

Kimmel had all sorts of other fun post-Oscar coverage as well, much of which you can find here. In case you missed it, check out our coverage of the Academy Awards.
