JESSICA JONES Faces Off Against Kilgrave in New Trailer

Marvel’s Jessica Jones will hit Netflix in only ten days. To mark the occasion, Netflix has dropped a new trailer for Jessica Jones that should be familiar to fans who got to see the very first episode last month at New York Comic Con.

The new trailer plays out the relationship between Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Luke Cage (Mike Colter) as he slowly realizes that Jessica is much more than she seems. There are also a few brief clips from the Luke and Jessica sex scene that practically made Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb blush during the NYCC panel.

But the bulk of the trailer focuses on Jessica’s conflict with Kilgrave, as played by former Doctor Who star David Tennant. Kilgrave can mind control people with his abilities, and it’s because of Kilgrave that Jessica’s time as a superheroine came to a tragic end. Now, Kilgrave is back in her life and he may be too powerful for Jessica to stop by herself.

Jessica’s best friend, Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor), also finds herself victimized by Kilgrave in this trailer, as he threatens Jessica with the forced suicide of Trish and an entire precinct full of police officers. But given that Trish is the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s counterpart for Hellcat, she shouldn’t be underestimated.

Ritter also shows off Jessica’s dry sense of humor in the new trailer, as she downplays her abilities and kicks the ass of anyone unfortunate enough to cross her.

All 13 episodes of Jessica Jones season 1 will premiere on Netflix beginning on Friday, November 20.
