Last weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, Supernatural cast Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins, and Mark Sheppard, showrunner Jeremy Carver, and executive producer Andrew Dabb, gathered for a panel in Hall H that examined the darkness from season 10, and what’s next for the show in season 11. The panel wasn’t all demons and death, though; it also included a touching tribute to Padalecki, who has recently opened up about his struggles with depression. The panel was an emotional one, one that brought awareness to Padalecki’s âAlways Keep Fightingâ campaign, which supports those affected by mental illness, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. (More details here.)
After the outpouring of fan support and compassion at the panel, the cast and creators participated in a number of interviews, one of which highlighted a project that lifted the cast’s spirits and turned out to be much more than they ever anticipated–The Hillywood Show‘s Supernatural Parody! Speaking of the dance number, Padalecki compared the parody’s smash success to that of the “Always Keep Fighting” Campaign and Supernatural: “You kind of do something and you donât have any idea how cool itâs gonna be or what itâs gonna turn into, and then you see it and youâre like, oh awesome! Theyâre hilarious and super talented, and I hope I get to work with them again.”Â
