What Lessons Will Warner Bros. Learn from BATMAN V SUPERMAN?

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was supposed to be 2016’s biggest superhero epic, but last weekend’s stunning 68% drop at the U.S. box office strongly suggests that some people aren’t happy with the film. It would be one thing if Batman v Superman had that drop against any major competition, but it really didn’t! The question now is how will Warner Bros. respond to that and get the DC Extended Universe back on track?

In today’s Nerdist News, superheroine hostess Jessica Chobot dives into recent reports about the lightening of the DCEU films in the wake of Batman v Superman. Did you like that Suicide Squad trailer with all of the jokes? Thanks to the new reshoots, the entire movie may be that way. And when did The Flash’s solo movie become a duo pic with Ray Fisher’s Cyborg joining Ezra Miller’s scarlet speedster? Now all of a sudden, Aquaman’s gonna be a “fun” movie, too?

Is it time for Ben Affleck’s Batman to step up in his own solo film written and directed by Batfleck himself? We’ve got a few suggestions about the future of the Bat franchise as well.

Last but not least, Jessica takes on last night’s sixth season finale of The Walking Dead and the cliffhanger ending that might be the most divisive since The Sopranos’ infamous cut to black! But she’s not gonna let that stop us from giving away a 10-inch Rick Grimes action figure signed by Todd McFarlane!

What direction do you think the DCEU should go after Batman v Superman? Let’s discuss in the comment section below.
