Is GAME OF THRONES Setting Up a Family Reunion in Season 6?

On the heels of HBO trolling us with a poster of Jon Snow’s potential (haaaaa) return in season six of Game of Thrones, our tin foil hats have come out, and we are headed straight into another mega-speculation k-hole of Stark-ian proportions. Needless to say, today’s Nerdist News is a veritable smorgasbord of spoilers—both book and series-based—so don’t say we didn’t warn ya in the comments down there, mmkay?

Now, let’s get down to business. It’s no secret that we here at Nerdist are staunchly in-favor of the Starks getting a win or two this season after the past 5 not exactly working in their seemingly good-natured favor. So when we heard reports from set confirming a mini-family reunion this season up at Winterfell between Sansa and Jon Snow, our hearts caught in our throats. Because behind every warm-fuzzy moment is one filled with devastating darkness. Nobody really, truly wins on Game of Thrones. So we think something smells fishy here—and it’s not just that House Tully sigil, mmkay?

Which is exactly why we think Lady Stoneheart’s going to show up and ruin everything for everyone (in a really, really interesting way, though). And we’ve even got some kernels of information to back up our particular brand of crazy. So tune in and see why our dearest Jessica Chobot believes what all of us want to be true: that Lady Stoneheart’s return is upon us, and it’s going to make a mess of things for the Tullys, Lannisters, Freys, and maybe even Starks.

What do you think of our theory? Let us know in the comments below.
