Inked Wednesday #47 – The Cornetto Trilogy, 130 Pokémon Tattoos, & More

I can’t imagine adding ink to someone else is quite the same as receiving it–there’s the whole lack of permanent pigment on your own skin, for starters–but being a tattoo artist does give you the chance to express your fandom and to get a touch of the high. Tattoo artist Alicia Thomas played Pokémon as a kid, and she’s found a way to relive the game through tattoos. She doesn’t have any pocket monster tattoos of her own yet, but she is adding monsters from the game onto others. She’s attempting to tattoo all 151 Pokémon, and yes that sounds like a ton of tattoos but she’s already made it to 130. When she completes the project, she plans to get Bulbasaur and a Poké Ball on herself. Some of her progress:

Though this week’s Inked Wednesday doesn’t have any Pokémon, it does have beautiful ink inspired by the Cornetto Trilogy, BioShock Infinite, and more. Look:

I would love to include your geeky tattoos in a future edition of Inked Wednesday! Leave links to photos in the comments or send them to me on Twitter. Be sure to include the artist information.
