As exhausting as Comic-Con is, it has an overwhelmingly positive effect on my spirits. It takes a few days of recovery to fully recognize that positive influence, but I’m almost there. The energy comes from being around other fans and their enthusiasm. Hearing someone talk about why he or she loves a given franchise or character with passion in his or her voice can turn the most exhausting day at Comic-Con around. I absorbed excitement from people gushing about their purchases, what they saw, and even their tattoos. It’s making this week’s Inked Wednesday gallery particularly special to me.
