Is it time to get a new tattoo yet? Being around tattoo pavilions at conventions two weekends in a row is making the need for new ink stronger than ever, and it’s barely been a year since my last addition. I’ve met a couple of people who have a tattoo anniversary–a day of the year where they consistently get a new tattoo. And I know others who add a new tattoo or work on building a sleeve each year on their birthdays or other holidays. I like tradition.

I’m not sure if any of the tattoos in this week’s gallery were inked because of tradition, but I do know at least two of them were done at Star Wars Celebration. Greedo and the X-wing were added on site at the convention. Aren’t they lovely? (That might be the only time I use the word “lovely” to describe a Rodian.)
